Throughout the day, what we gained was much more than logistical ease and no Sintra stress -- we got the history, the real stories, the recommendations, a personal photographer, an authentic culinary experience (yummmm), and lots of laughs!

We usually recommend one inside monument with time for up to four other activities. Other structures are two inside monuments with two activities, or three inside monuments without additional activities. We agree a realistic route, ticket choices and timings before your tour.

My wife and I had my 7-year old son with us and 70-year old parents, and Pedro was extra accommodating making sure the walking point were more walkable for us. He totally went at our pace with no rushing (however it was clear he was managing our time throughout the day).

How does the Personalized Full-Day work?
It is an 8-hour private tour planned around your group’s interests. We agree a realistic route through Sintra and, when chosen, the coast, with time for stories, a lunch stop and your group’s pace. The places on this page are possibilities to discuss, rather than a list included in every day.
What is included in the price?
Your private guide, tour transport, itinerary planning and photographs are included. A planning call with Daniel is optional when helpful. Monument tickets, meals, drinks, wine tastings and optional transfers are paid separately.
Can we choose which places to visit?
Yes. Tell us about the monuments, views and experiences that interest you. We help put together a route that works for your date and group. Opening times, ticket availability, travel and local conditions affect what can fit into the day. Detailed planning follows your deposit, and the route is agreed before the day begins.
Do we need to buy monument tickets in advance?
For this tour, clients purchase monument tickets directly. We help with the correct options and entry timings. Advance purchase is recommended for the visits agreed with the team, subject to the monument’s availability. For Pena, guide accompaniment is on the terraces, not inside the palace rooms. We help you choose the ticket that matches your agreed visit.
Can we skip the queues?
We plan timings and routes to reduce avoidable waiting, but entrance and security queues can still apply. Busy dates, monument access and local traffic can affect the day.
Do we stop for lunch or wine tasting?
Yes, we plan time for lunch during your full day. The meal and drinks are paid separately. Wine tasting is an optional paid activity when it fits your chosen route. Tell us about dietary needs and allergies during planning so we can discuss suitable options.
Where do we meet, and is hotel pickup included?
The tour starts in Sintra, at a meeting point and time agreed in advance. A private transfer from Lisbon is optional and costs extra. Ask the team about any other pickup or drop-off request before booking.
Can we finish in Cascais?
Cascais is a possible ending when it fits your chosen route. We agree the finish with you and help you understand return options. Return transport is not automatically included in the Personalized Full-Day price.
Which vehicle will we use?
The team confirms transport suitable for your group and the planned route. Please discuss any vehicle preferences or requirements during planning so we can confirm the arrangements for your booking.
Is this suitable for children or guests with mobility needs?
Please tell us children’s ages and any mobility needs before booking. Vehicle arrangements, walking, steps and monument access can affect the route. We will discuss suitable options for your group.
What happens in bad weather or if a place closes?
Weather, road restrictions or monument closures may require changes to the route. We discuss available options and follow the conditions for your reservation. See our Terms and Refund and Cancellation Policy.
How do payment and booking confirmation work?
Credit and debit cards are accepted, with cash payment also available in person. Availability, the required deposit or payment, and the arrangements for your reservation are confirmed with the team. Your booking is confirmed after written availability confirmation and receipt of the required payment.
What are the cancellation and rescheduling conditions?
For Standard Private Tours, cancellations at least 14 days before the tour are eligible for a refund of the deposit. With less notice, the deposit is non-refundable; if the full amount has been paid, only the deposit portion is retained. Groups of 10 or more and pre-booked partner services can have different conditions. The Standard rescheduling fee is €50, subject to availability. Read our Refund and Cancellation Policy and the conditions agreed for your reservation, or ask how these apply to your group.
Would a Half-Day suit us better?
If you have less time and want a focused visit to Sintra, explore the Personalized Half-Day. It is a separate private 4-hour experience with its own itinerary and conditions.
How is this different from All-Inclusive?
Here, your chosen tickets, meals, tastings and optional transfers are paid separately. The Full-Day All-Inclusive includes the agreed monument tickets, lunch and private transfers under that product’s own conditions.
