I was a little taken aback with price 700 euro for 3 of us on a private all day NON inclusive tour, except tickets for Quinta do Regaleira. Walked through Sintra, stopped at a bakery while our guide filled us in on local history. Regaleira was amazing and our guide made the tour memorable with his research based opinions. The only caveat was that we didn’t get to tour the gardens!! When I asked the guide why,  he said we didn’t have the time based on our itinerary, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement but I assumed that the itinerary would be awesome and make up for it- I was wrong, we ended up driving around his hometown which although attractive was really of no interest to us and we would’ve been much better served spending that time in the gardens instead- big disappointment. The next disappointment was the wine tasting in Colares, the owner was with other people so no knowledge from the owner for us and the wine itself was absolutely awful! Our guide told us that he must have pored us newer wines, we couldn’t drink them, they were that bad and still got charged an additional 24 euro per person for the wine tasting- not impressive. Was our guide knowledgeable? Absolutely! Was the 748 Euro worth it? For us the answer would be a No, particularly when we compare it to other guided trips we did while in Portugal.

We have done so many tours all over - Italy, Amsterdam, Hawaii, etc., and this was our favorite ever. We cannot believe how much we saw and experienced. Everything was so beautiful, and it was the perfect balance of walking/hiking and riding in the tuktuk. The wine tasting and lunch were delicious, and it was an awesome way to relax in the middle of our adventures! Vera was so knowledgable. Also, she was so kind, warm, and friendly. We talked the whole time about our lives, TV shows, music, etc. We have a new friend in Portugal now that we have Vera! I will always remember this day and Vera! Thank you so much!

Our tour guide Pedro was very informative, made sure we saw everything we needed to, made sure we had the best angle of photos and even took photos of us on his phone and shared with us at the end. The weather was really bad the morning of our Sintra tour and Pedro was equipped with a couple umbrellas and made sure our tour did not disappoint. He recommended a great vegetarian friendly restaurant to accommodate our groups dietary restrictions and even treated us to some local pastries. We really enjoyed spending the day with her showing us around. We are a family of 5 with kids ages 16-20. We did the full day tour with visits to Monserrate and Quinta da regaleira and ending in Cascais. We had delicious pastries and coffee in the am and again mid morning. Cláudia showed us around the old town as well. Lunch was delicious! Cláudia was also super knowledgeable about the gardens in Monserrate. She also took amazing pictures of us.  Verified Amazing family day with teens We had an amazing day with yes you deserve. We are a family of 5 with 3 children ages 16-20. We did a pick up from where were staying in Lisbon and ended in Cascais for dinner on our own with a ride back afterwards. Cláudia was awesome. She was so knowledgeable especially in regards to everything local and especially helpful with the gardens in Monserrate for which she had an incredible knowledge of the botanical gardens. Booking the all-inclusive tour with Daniel Ponce (Yes you deserve) was the best decision we made for our Sintra and Cascais tour. From the initial communication about options and inclusions, the planning was seamlessly clear and professional. The tour itself with Daniel was truly exceptional. His deep knowledge and stories behind each of the monuments made the experience incredibly immersive and enlightening. We chose to visit the inside of Quinta da Regaleria, which was epic. Daniel's expertise truly took us back centuries in our imagination as we explored this iconic site. In addition to his historical insight, he made the whole day fun, relaxing, and easy. He gave us options on how the day unfolded and we never felt rushed—a crucial factor in Sintra. We were able to enjoy a fantastic, authentic local lunch at a restaurant in Colares, and his recommendation on what to try from the menu was unforgettable. We came away with amazing memories and stunning photos, thanks to his unexpected photography skills. His passion for Sintra and Cascais is contagious and has already made us decide to return. What a day we had today with Daniel Ponce! We customized a tour with Daniel and saw Sintra, Azenhaus do Mar, Cabo da Roca, Furnas do Guincho, Boca de Inferno and Cascais. We also had the most amazing lunch at a local restaurant. This tour was the highlight of our trip, so informative and SO MUCH FUN. The many breathtaking sights that Daniel showed us while explaining the history made for an unforgettable day. So many special sights today (one after the other) and suggestions for us after the tour as well. This is a day we will talk about for years to come. And the photos Daniel took and provided us are the best. My family has been talking about the tour nonstop. If you are thinking of a tour of Sintra and/or Cascais, you cannot go wrong here!

As I was planning our family of four trip to Portugal I knew we wanted to visit the Sintra mountains with it’s beautiful gardens and palaces.   Do we do a self-tour with the buses and no guide or do we spend the day with someone who knows the area better than anyone else?   Do not spend the time thinking about this…reach out to Daniel Ponce @ Yes, You Deserve! Tuk Tuk Tour in Sintra by Daniel Ponce!!  It will be an experience that you will never forget. We worked with Daniel on the sites we wanted to see…Quinta de Regaleira, Monserrate Palace and Gardens, Cabo da Roca, fabulous views of Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle…just to name a few.  He had special spots and stops along the way via his Tuk Tuk, including an amazing lunch.  The day ended in Cascais, which was absolutely beautiful.   We never ever could have done this by ourselves.  He captured us in photo’s all along the tour as well.    I made the right decision by asking Daniel to be our guide. Sintra is magical, mysterious and extremely hard to navigate without guidance. Our tour guide Daniel Ponce was fantastic to work with from beginning to end. His tuk tuk was easy to hop on and off and he covered the history as he explained the various architectural styles and who built these amazing palaces, plus current occupancy. Since the crowds were low, he went into Pena Palace with us for an indepth explanation. He went way out of his way to explain the veggitation, natural and what was brought into Portugal. Palm fern trees from Australia! From castles to beaches, his knowledge about Portugal is intriguing and with emotion. He took many photos of us amidst the monuments and gave tons of recommendations beyond the tour throughout all of Portugal. Highly recommend reaching out to him as the Sintra website is difficult to navigate as is the city. But mostly because he cares! Ask him about the centuries old pastries and who has the best! From our first video chat months before the trip, Daniel crafted a personalized itinerary that made everything seamless. Meeting him felt like meeting a close friend….he’s warm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what he does. Sintra and Cascais felt like a real-life fairy tale, and Daniel showed us hidden spots, history, and viewpoints we never would’ve found on our own. The private lunch, wine tasting, and crowd-avoiding strategies made the day feel exclusive and special. We’re so glad we booked the Tuk Tuk tour despite mixed opinions online…this is NOT your typical Tuk Tuk experience. Daniel is a true local, and his team members are all just as amazing. He also took beautiful, professional-quality photos of us throughout the day, which was such a bonus. We were honestly upset we didn’t book multiple days because another tour we did in Lisbon with a random company wasn’t even close in quality. If you’re visiting Portugal, please do yourself a favor and book with Daniel. You will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to come back and tour with him again! We had a wonderful and amazing time with Daniel on a full-day all inclusive tour of Sintra and the surrounding area! Our two boys loved the tour and we have so much fun with Daniel. One great highlight was the lunch stop at a local, family owned restaurant where Daniel knew the entire family working there and made us feel like we were part of the family. We had a great tour of Pena as well as visits to other palaces, a special lunch in a small town and wine tasting in Colares. We recently had the pleasure of taking a tuk tuk tour with Daniel Ponce to explore Pena Palace and the coastal town of Cascais. Daniel was an incredible guide who brought the local history to life as we zipped around in his fun tuk tuk. We started by exploring the gorgeous grounds and architecture of Pena Palace. Daniel knew so many fascinating details about the palace's unique mix of influences and construction. His commentary made the visit much more engaging than simply wandering on our own. After exploring the palace, we headed to Cascais for some sightseeing along the coast. Daniel highlighted all of the top attractions in town. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of fresh seafood at a restaurant Daniel recommended! I can't recommend Daniel's tuk tuk tour highly enough. His passion for the history and culture of this region is infectious. If you want to see the top sights with a knowledgeable guide and excellent local restaurant recommendations, book a tour with Daniel. It was the one of the highlights of our trip!

We had a full day tour from Lisbon of Sintra and the coast with Caterina. She was a fabulous guide with extensive knowledge of the area and its history. We loved the tuktuk. It made all those hills less daunting. We were very lucky with the weather and it made for brilliant photos, Caterina knowing all the best spots. Shout out to our fabulous tour guide Daniel Ponce from his company Yes, you deserve by Daniel Ponce who showed us around Sintra.  We toured Quinta da Regaleira and the Inverted Tower (initiation well); Palacio de Monserrate and the Pena Palace.  We stopped for a fabulous pastry and "little boy" coffee after filling our water bottles at a natural spring.  Later on we stopped again for a wonderful local lunch of chicken, rice, salad and French fries.  We learned so much and enjoyed the day.  Daniel kept the conversations lively and full of fun facts. All I can say is if you use Daniel Ponce from Yes You Deserve you will have the most magical day of your Portugal visit. He exceeded our expectations and they were very high. He's the BEST!! We booked a full day tour. Daniel took us to the palaces of Sintra, and also to many other places of interest other guides don't go. He also took us to the most delicious local restaurant for lunch. It was incredible food!  And he gave us many recommendations for the remainder of our trip, not only in Sintra, but also in Cascais and Lisbon. They were all very good! You will enjoy Daniel's knowledge of Portugal, and his warm, and caring personality. You will become fast-friends. We laughed so much all day long! I literally teared up when it was time for the day to end and to say goodbye to Daniel. I think I hugged him at least 2 or 3 times. Our full-day, all-inclusive Sintra tour was exceptional from start to finish and truly showcased the quality and professionalism of this company. Every detail was handled seamlessly—from the private transfer (a special thanks to Maycon for the smooth and comfortable ride) to the thoughtfully planned visits to Sintra’s palaces, monuments, and the beautiful coastline of Cascais. What truly elevated this experience, however, was the outstanding level of service. Our guide, Vera, was phenomenal; warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought each site to life with stories and insights that made the history feel vivid and memorable, all while tailoring the pace perfectly to our preferences and answering every question with enthusiasm. The company’s attention to creating a personalized, stress-free experience really stood out. One of the highlights was trusting the team’s recommendation for lunch. We dined at Restaurante Central, which was fantastic and added an authentic local touch to the day. After lunch, we enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting at Mare et Corvus with Anna, which was a memorable and personal experience, especially getting the chance to meet her mother, Barbara. It was a unique and welcoming touch that made the day even more special. Absolutely fabulous day in Sintra. Our tour was well organised and catered to our needs and interests very well. Daniel is a wonderful, genuine guy as are all his other staff and contacts we've engaged with in any way. The tul tuk tour of Sintra was fun and we learned a lot about the sites we visited and more.
