Daniel Ponce was the most incredible tour guide. We met him in Sintra for a 3 1/2 hour history/palace tour. We visited all of the palaces from the outside, learned all about the history of each and the incredible phenomenon of the trees-Imported from all over the world there are: Fern Palms. Cork Oak,  multiple Palm varieties, Eucalyptus, Sycamore, Redwood and more!! Imported from Australia and all over the world during the monarchy reins because each King competed with the next King for who has the best garden (for garden rights?!) We saw large private estates/castles and their guest houses and drank from natural mineral fountains. Daniel took us to gorgeous places off the beaten path- we tasted exotic fruit called “ Medronho” plucked right from the tree and learned all about how Cork is harvested. Daniel even took us to a fabulous winery in COLARES-COLARES WINERY. We got a private tour of the Colares Winery and learned all about Sand Soil Wine and Clay Wine from Daniel! Tour ended with Daniel dropping us off at the most incredible restaurant overlooking the Ocean called “Azenhas do Mar, Nascidos e Criados”- NOT TO BE MISSED.   HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring Daniel for a full day tour- wish we did full day! Flexible, fun, knowledgeable! ( He is also a great photographer and has a super new and cool Tuk Tuk!) We had a full day tour from Lisbon of Sintra and the coast with Caterina. She was a fabulous guide with extensive knowledge of the area and its history. We loved the tuktuk. It made all those hills less daunting. We were very lucky with the weather and it made for brilliant photos, Caterina knowing all the best spots. We recently had the pleasure of taking a tuk tuk tour with Daniel Ponce to explore Pena Palace and the coastal town of Cascais. Daniel was an incredible guide who brought the local history to life as we zipped around in his fun tuk tuk. We started by exploring the gorgeous grounds and architecture of Pena Palace. Daniel knew so many fascinating details about the palace's unique mix of influences and construction. His commentary made the visit much more engaging than simply wandering on our own. After exploring the palace, we headed to Cascais for some sightseeing along the coast. Daniel highlighted all of the top attractions in town. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of fresh seafood at a restaurant Daniel recommended! I can't recommend Daniel's tuk tuk tour highly enough. His passion for the history and culture of this region is infectious. Daniel and his team are amazing! We would highly recommend him if you’re looking for a guide. We went with a group of 22 people, and this was managed by him and his team professionally. We had a phenomenal day with Pedro! The car pick-up from our hotel was on time (early actually). We followed-up their Yes, You Deserve!’s recommendation to get breakfast at Casa do Preto which was fantastic as well. Pedro took us around to Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira in the tuk-tuk. He really made sure that we were comfortable and the day was enjoyable throughout. He provided blankets when needed in the cooler part of the mountain, waters, and even had a surprise phone charger available when my phone ran low on battery from taking photos all day. My wife and I had my 7-year old son with us and 70-year old parents, and Pedro was extra accommodating making sure the walking point were more walkable for us. He totally went at our pace with no rushing (however it was clear he was managing our time throughout the day). The stops at Pena and Quinta far exceeded all of our expectations. Pedro’s knowledge of the places, story telling and ability to point out the details really made the history and magic come alive. He knew all the best spots and times to grab photos so we were able to get many family photos in (without having to do a bunch of selfies). We went on a Sunday, which made some of the stops have some more traffic than say, a Wednesday, but Pedro navigated all of it without us having to worry about a thing. The Portuguese restaurant was incredible. Highly recommend the grilled octopus. Coming down the coast to Cascais was very relaxing and Pedro really allowed to enjoy each of the stops will providing fun facts with fit in seamlessly with our casual conversation. Thank you, Daniel Ponce, for leading our family through the Sintra region with incredible guided tours of Pena Palace, Monserrate, the Sanctuary of Peninha and the road to Cascais. I highly recommend seeing Sintra this way! It was all so easy and seamless. We were just along for the ride! Our guide, Claudia, was the absolute best! She was from Sintra, born and raised, and knew so much history! She was amazing with my teen boys. Absolutely fabulous day in Sintra. Our tour was well organised and catered to our needs and interests very well. Daniel is a wonderful, genuine guy as are all his other staff and contacts we've engaged with in any way. The tul tuk tour of Sintra was fun and we learned a lot about the sites we visited and more. It would be a major error if you don’t book Yes, You Deserve! to guide you around Sintra and Cascais. Daniel was a fantastic guide who made our day feel so personalized and special. He is very engaging, fun, and knowledgeable of everything you will see. The tour will feel like a trip around Sintra with your local friend. Daniel matched our pace and energy for sites that we leaned more to. Every moment felt like he was crafting the experience around us and what we found interesting. Daniel is the most awesome tour guide. He takes such pride in making sure your tour is what you want and such care to not miss anything. He knows just the right stops and amazing views! We had a wonderful and amazing time with Daniel on a full-day all inclusive tour of Sintra and the surrounding area! Our two boys loved the tour and we have so much fun with Daniel. One great highlight was the lunch stop at a local, family owned restaurant where Daniel knew the entire family working there and made us feel like we were part of the family. Daniel was absolutely brilliant from the very first time we got in contact with him months before our visit to Portugal. He helped us plan the perfect day and even came to personally greet us on the morning of the tour, which was such a thoughtful touch. We truly had an unforgettable experience in Sintra. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely the Best Tour Experience in Portugal Our all-inclusive Sintra tour with Daniel Ponce of Yes, You Deserve Tours was hands-down the best travel experience we’ve ever had. From our first video chat months before the trip, Daniel crafted a personalized itinerary that made everything seamless. Meeting him felt like meeting a close friend….he’s warm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what he does. Sintra and Cascais felt like a real-life fairy tale, and Daniel showed us hidden spots, history, and viewpoints we never would’ve found on our own. The private lunch, wine tasting, and crowd-avoiding strategies made the day feel exclusive and special. We’re so glad we booked the Tuk Tuk tour despite mixed opinions online…this is NOT your typical Tuk Tuk experience. Daniel is a true local, and his team members are all just as amazing. He also took beautiful, professional-quality photos of us throughout the day, which was such a bonus. We were honestly upset we didn’t book multiple days because another tour we did in Lisbon with a random company wasn’t even close in quality. My wife and I booked a full day tour of Sintra with Daniel. Due to a double-booking, Caterina conducted our tour and did a fantastic job. She is quite knowledgeable, speaks English well, and is a very sweet person, whom we enjoyed getting to know. Sintra's many sites can be VERY crowded with tourists, so we'd highly recommend booking a private tour. The planning call with Daniel for full-day tours was very helpful, but Caterina was also very flexible during the tour to help ensure we saw as much as we could.

We engaged YYD for a full-day tour on 6th Apr 2025. My group had a really good time with Leandro as our guide. YYD shows their professionalism from the time I ask about their service until the tour ends for the day. Despite bad weather (rain & fog), Leandro made extra effort to turn things around to be well. What a day we had today with Daniel Ponce! We customized a tour with Daniel and saw Sintra, Azenhaus do Mar, Cabo da Roca, Furnas do Guincho, Boca de Inferno and Cascais. We also had the most amazing lunch at a local restaurant. This tour was the highlight of our trip, so informative and SO MUCH FUN. The many breathtaking sights that Daniel showed us while explaining the history made for an unforgettable day. So many special sights today (one after the other) and suggestions for us after the tour as well. This is a day we will talk about for years to come. And the photos Daniel took and provided us are the best. My family has been talking about the tour nonstop. (Yes, you deserve by Daniel Ponce) If you are hesitating about whether to use a guide or find your own way around Sintra. My advice is, Hire a Guide and there is no better than Daniel Ponce and his electric Tuk Tuk. We had a magical day zipping up, down and around the mountain landscapes of Sintra, Cascais and the surrounding area. We had the most beautiful lunch at a local family-owned restaurant, away from all the busy tourist areas. Daniel tailored the tour to our interest, showing us the Summer retreats of Europe’s Royalty, magnificent gardens and stunning landscapes, together with the amazing history of Pinna Castle, Castel of the Moors, Cabo da Roca lighthouse and the stunning Quinta da Regaleira.

We had a great day on our private tuk tuk tour of Sintra. Our guide, Claudia, was from the area and gave us wonderful insight into town and its surroundings. She was fun and engaging as well as incredibly knowledgeable. From the booking process (all done on What’s App), to pick up, the all-day tour, and drop off, everything ran smoothly and we got to see a lot of the coast on our drive. A highlight of the day was stopping in a small town to experience an authentic Portuguese lunch at a family owned restaurant. We would never have chosen something like this on our own. The desserts were incredible!  The company provides so much detail in the booking process so you can tailor the experience for what you’d like to see.
