From the village, Quinta da Regaleira is a 15–minute walk and Chalet Biester is 10 minutes. Other monuments are an Uber ride for less than €8. Your guide provides restaurant recommendations for Sintra and Cascais – or can drop you at a local restaurant outside the tourist area for something more authentic.

Best Time to Visit Sintra by Tuk Tuk
Sintra sits in its own microclimate – Serra de Sintra runs 2–4°C cooler than Lisbon with morning fog year-round, so bring a jacket even in July. But every season here is beautiful in its own way.
Spring (April–June) is the sweet spot – 20–25°C, green forests, fewer crowds, best overall. Summer (July–August) is peak season so palaces get busy with 60+ minute queues, but our tuk tuk’s skip the traffic and we know the best times to visit each spot. During the high season we recommend Regaleira and Monserrate – both have way fewer crowds than Pena. Fall is gorgeous with golden colors in the Pena Park forests. Winter is quieter and a bit foggy but Sintra in the mist has a magical atmosphere – many guests say it's their favorite time to visit.
